The versatility of PET bottles is often overestimated - even if they are both food-grade materials, there are obvious differences in safety levels and functional characteristics:
Basic level: suitable for conventional liquid packaging, but long-term contact with acidic/oily substances may accelerate material aging
Reinforced grade: through acid and alkali resistance modification, suitable for packaging containing corrosive ingredients such as juices and condiments.
Special grade: Add oxygen barrier layer or enhance sealing structure, specially used for honey, essential oils and other easily oxidized products
Differences in transparency also impact usage decisions. Highly transparent bottles are suitable for displaying the contents, but if they need to be protected from light (such as some health products), frosted or color-added versions are reasonable choices.
